Travelling to the province, especially on a Friday night is not a joke. Alongside with my friend, Mai of Budget Biyahera. We traveled from Cubao to Lingayen for a solid 6 freaking hours! And all throughout the trip we thought about how can we teleport in our hotel bed. The President Hotel, our home for 2 nights is strategically located along Maramba Boulevard in Lingayen, Pangasinan. The hotel is also considered as one of the historical spots in the city because the house of the 12th Philippine President, Fidel V. Ramos once stood there. When we arrived at the hotel, an attentive and friendly front desk staff immediately greeted us. He asked to fill up some forms and assisted us in our room, which happens to be a minute walk away from the main compound.
Room Rating – 3/5
The room is incredibly spacious and clean. There’s a matrimonial bed (the mattress is so soft, I slept like a baby during my stay), a cabinet with hangers, two side tables, a big mirror (perfect for us girls), a cable television (sad to say with a bad reception) and an air conditioner that is perfectly working in our room. *I think it would be better if they can provide at least one chair per room. The hotel also provides toiletries per room. Isn’t it cool that they included the Philippine flag in their logo? As for the bathroom, I automatically expected that it would be spaced too. The hot water feature is not working though I didn’t mind because I prefer having a cold shower everyday, but the water is spilling out every time we use it.
Room Service – 4/5
Arriving at the hotel in the middle of the night, hungry and tired. Me and Mai are craving of something to eat. And surprisingly the hotel’s room service is available 24 hours! The food is delicious and feels like they’ve cooked the food only when you ordered it. The serving is also good for two which is perfect for us. Even though our rooms are located in the annex building. The hotel provides free water dispenser that are visible in the entrance.
Location – 5/5
The mere fact that you can just walk from the hotel to the city’s tourist attraction is definitely a plus point for me. During our whole stay I think we just rode a tricycle for only 3 – 4 times, mainly because we need to go to the town proper. But for our mini tour of the city, we just walk till our legs and feet hurts! Hehe Overall, I experienced a secure stay in The President Hotel. No frills, good location, accommodating staff and 24 hourroom service, isn’t that a good steal from a hotel in Lingayen? —
